Uttalelse fra "the American Heart Association"

“Because of many negative studies or mixed results and a paucity of available trials, all other meditation techniques [including Mindfulness] received a ‘Class III, no benefit, Level of Evidence C’ recommendation. Thus, other meditation techniques are not recommended in clinical practice to lower blood pressure at this time.”

Finansiering av forskning på
Transcendental Meditasjon

National Institute of health (den Amerikanske regjeringen), American Medical Association, American Hearth Association og American Psychological Association har støttet forskning på Transcendental Meditasjon. The National Institutes of Health har blant annet nylig gitt 182 millioner kroner (24$millioner US dollar) til forskning på Transcendental meditasjon.

Publisering av forskning i "Circulation", under tittelen: "Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes"
Sitat fra samendraget av studien: "A 5-year randomized controlled study on patients with established coronary heart disease reported a 48% reduction in death, heart attack, and stroke in subjects in the Transcendental Meditation group compared to controls.

Forskning på Transcendental Meditasjon har blitt publisert
i over 150 "peer reviewed" vitenskapelige journaler, blant annet:
